The project

The project

As a Garment Technician, you will work alongside the Technical Manager during fit meetings and sample inspection. You will assist with fit comments and note-taking, update specs, send specifications and comments to suppliers, and liaise with suppliers on technical issues.

What will the role entail?

  1. Measure development samples, salesman samples, pre-production samples, shipment samples.
  2. Assist with the inspection of the construction at all stages of samples & ensure they meet Hackett's international standards, advising suppliers accordingly.
  3. Assist with maintaining the Hackett standard across all suppliers.
  4. Liaise with all manufacturers and advise them on any fit issues.
  5. Assist with recording and approving specifications.
  6. Ensure technical folders are up to date with correct grade rules, labelling, and fit.
  7. Assist with customer returns.
  8. Update the critical path after fit sessions and ensure comments are sent on time.
  9. Approve wash, care, and content labels; advise suppliers; review test reports.
  10. Assist with approval of bulk inspection reports.

Requirements

  1. University degree in Tailoring / Garment Technician.
  2. Advanced English level.

  5. Fit & sizing management: pattern making, creating size specifications and grading.
  6. Intermediate level Excel skills.
  7. Garment construction knowledge.
  8. Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
  9. Ability to communicate with UK and offshore manufacturers.
