Job summary

Crew Clothing Head Office in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a Garment Tech Assistant to support the Technical team in delivering our product range on time and to Crew standards. The role is 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid pattern: 4 days in the office and 1 day from home, and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will assist with fit processes, supplier liaison, admin tasks, and contribute to ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality garments across collections, under direction of

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 1.5 years experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent computer literacy in Excel/Outlook/Word.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a work schedule under tight deadlines.
• Ability to build strong supplier relationships with other departments.
• Ability to work as part of a team, but independently.
• Understanding of product function and critical path processes.
• Able to work with pace and energy.
• Ability to communicate quality issues to the Product Development team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the technical team in the fit process from concept to production.
• Assist in on-time delivery across all departments with target of 98% on-time delivery.
• Support admin of the technical team: supplier liaison, filing, sample measuring, storage and fit sessions prep.
• Act as ambassador for Crew Technical Team.
• Assist with QC inspections as directed and maintain filing system.
• Participate in team and department meetings; conduct competitor shopping reports when requested.
• Communicate fit/assessment comments to suppliers and ensure test reports are submitted on time.

Purposeof the role

Supports the Technical team in the smooth andcommercial delivery of the Crew product range to drive profitable salesgrowth. This role supports themanagement of the technical process to ensure that the collections, aredeveloped and created to the standards of Crew clothing in terms of fit,performance and construction to business timeline, with the brand essence ofthe Crew Clothing, and in line with department and business expectations.

Responsibilities

Accountable for

• Assisting the technical team in the fit process from concept to production.
• Assisting the technical team in managing the on time delivery ofall departments and ensuring at least 98 % on time delivery.
• Assisting in the general admin of the technical team in terms ofsupplier liaison, filing, sample measuring, sample storage and fit sessionsprep.

Business Goals

• Supports the technical team in the smooth and commercialdelivery of the Crew product range to drive profitable sales growth.
• Supports supplier relationships by communicating teamexpectations regularly
• Supports communication with key stakeholders for any product orprocess improvements, within the timeline and signed off by the Head ofTechnical
• Support the technical team in pack set up each season
• Collate and send samples to DC as directed and when required
• Support Technical team on daily ad hoc duties
• Helps to organise supplier and team meetings.

Technical

• Assist with QC inspections as directed and when required
• Maintain filing system and general administration
• Participate in team and department meetings.
• Carry out competitor shopping reports and presenting findingswhen requested by the Technical Manager
• Acts as an ambassador for Crew Technical Team

Supplier Development

• Helps communicate fit / assessment comments to the suppliers
• Working closely with suppliers to ensure test reports and otherkey document are submitted and reviewed in line with critical path dates
• Ensures the suppliers understand Crew Technical Standards andProcedures

KeySkills and Experience

Essential

• Minimum 1 to 1/2 years experience in same or similarrole.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Excellent computer literacy in Excel /Outlook/Word
• Ability to prioritise and manage a work schedulewhilst working to tight deadlines
• Ability to initiate and build strong relationshipswith supplier and other department members
• Ability to work as part of a team, but motivated andable to work independently.
• Understanding of the product function and critical pathprocesses.
• Able to work with pace and energy.
• Ability to communicate clearly any quality relatedissues to the Product Development team, Head of Product and Head ofMerchandising.
