Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking a gardening volunteer to develop and facilitate sessions at our service. Our service users are eager to utilize our beautiful garden space. We prefer individuals with good gardening knowledge, including proper tool use, plant care, and propagation, who are enthusiastic about sharing their expertise.

The gardening sessions will be held weekly with flexible scheduling. If you enjoy gardening and have experience with allotments or growing vegetables at home, this is an ideal volunteering opportunity for you!

We support our volunteers through an induction, training, a dedicated supervisor, a monthly newsletter, and an online peer support group.

Volunteer Duties:
  1. Develop ideas for gardening sessions.
  2. Lead gardening sessions and involve participants in decision-making.
  3. Share knowledge on plant cultivation and garden maintenance.
  4. Clean up after sessions.
  5. Promote sessions to service users.
  6. Ensure health and safety protocols are followed.
  7. Report concerns to staff.
