Overview

Gardener Team Leader (Mobile) – Location: Mobile, covering Kent & South London. Permanent contract. Salary: £29,000 - £30,172 per annum (dependent on experience). Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example with day-to-day horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, and seasonal care across cemeteries and plots.
  • Supervise and develop a team of gardeners, including providing training, setting clear objectives, and motivating the team with a passion for horticulture.
  • Oversee larger projects and manage contractors to ensure work meets required standards.
  • Maintain sites to high horticultural standards with a focus on sustainability and biodiversity.
Qualifications
  • RHS Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent).
  • Strong background in horticulture or grounds maintenance.
  • Experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices.
  • Basic IT skills and confidence with digital tools.
  • Full UK manual driving licence (essential).
