Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly Gardener/Maintenance Assistant to oversee outdoor spaces across our Wales-based homes. The role is part-time, approximately one day per week, 7.5 hours, usually between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, with flexibility.

You'll maintain grounds to high standards, tend flowerbeds, shrubs and trees, ensure equipment is well kept, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff, working as part of a caring team.

Qualifications

• Passion for outdoors and gardening.
• Patient, empathetic and flexible with residents.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations (COSHH).

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds to high standards, ensuring safety and visual appeal.
• Tend flowerbeds, shrubs and trees, enhancing outdoor spaces.
• Maintain equipment and structures such as fencing.
• Clear snow and ice in winter to ensure safety.
• Follow COSHH regulations when using garden chemicals.
• Adapt work schedule to residents' needs in a patient, empathetic manner.
• Collaborate with team to create a positive environment for residents' well-being.
