St Monica Trust's The Chocolate Quarter retirement village in West of England is seeking a part-time gardener to maintain lawns, borders, ponds, paths, and indoor planting, delivering a high-quality service to residents.

You will support residents, work with the Estates team, assist with events, respond to emergencies, and drive the Trust's minibus as needed, while upholding the Trust's values and safety policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high-quality service to residents and respond to queries from residents, colleagues or visitors.
  • Work with Estates team on security and maintenance duties in line with policies and health and safety legislation.
  • Assist with site events, recycling and waste collection, and respond to site emergencies.
  • Drive Trust vehicles, including minibus, as required and qualified.

## GardenerApply: The Chocolate Quarter - Retirement Village BS31: Part time: Posted Today: JR102717**Hours:** 24 hours per week**Hourly rate:** £13.64 per hour **Key Results** * Undertake all gardening and grounds duties for the Trust, including the maintenance of lawns, borders, flowerbeds, paths, ponds, and indoor planting.* Provide a high-quality service to our customers, supporting and advising residents, should they wish to engage in gardening activities and responding appropriately to queries from residents, colleagues, or visitors.* Work with the wider Estates team carrying out additional security and maintenance duties in line with the Trust’s policies and procedures and health and safety legislation.* Assist the wider estates team with additional duties such as the set-up for site events and activities and timely collection of recycling and waste.* Respond to site emergencies including emergencies involving utility services, extreme weather, or environmental disasters.* Drive any of the Trust’s vehicles including the minibus as required (providing qualified to do so).**Skills and Experience** Communication* Write notes and messages – numeracy, literacy, and verbal skills.* Communicate with people with differing communication needs.* Encourage and influence.* Understand and follow instructions and procedures.* Strong customer service skills.* Mixed methods and mediums of communication.
