Qualifications

• Full current driving licence required due to role requirements.
• Experience in grounds or garden maintenance is desirable but not essential.
• Preferably hold NPTC – PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates.

Main Duties: (Full Training Provided)

• Maintain and enhance ornamental and landscaped areas to high standards.
• Operate horticultural machinery, including compact tractors and attachments.
• Assist with landscape refurbishment, planting, and water feature projects.
• Perform routine garden maintenance to keep grounds pristine year-round.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team under the guidance of the Head Gardener.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Ideally NVQ Level 2 or above in amenity/decorative horticulture or a related field.
• Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials.
• Experience in grounds or garden maintenance is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Preferably hold NPTC – PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Application Certificates, but not essential.
• Full current driving licence required (unless prevented by disability) due to role requirements.

Hours of Work:

• 39 hours per week across 5 shifts.
• Monday – Thursday: 7.45am – 4.45pm, Friday: 7.45am – 3.45pm, with a 1-hour lunch each day.

Salary:

£12.36 per hour.
