Job description

Prime Appointments is currently searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Nursery Assistant to join our diverse client's team located on the outskirts of Colchester, on a temporary basis.

Own transport is required due to the location

Garden Nursery Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily nursery tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, and propagating plants
• Monitor plant health, identifying any signs of pests or diseases and taking appropriate action
• Assist with stock management, including inventory tracking, restocking, and rotating plants
• Support with the loading and unloading of deliveries, as well as the preparation of customer orders

The Ideal Garden Nursery Assistant:

• A genuine interest in plants and gardening, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Strong work ethic and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, outdoor environment
• Previous experience in horticulture or a similar role is a plus, but not essential as training will be provided

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 07:30 - 16:30
• 12.21 p/hour
