Overview

Garden Maintenance Team Leader — Our high-end London-based client are seeking a motivated Team Leader with gardening and maintenance experience to join the existing teams. A driving licence is essential for this role, as is a proven experience of supervising a small team. Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will be expected to liaise with clients. Candidates need RHS level 2 horticulture or NVQ level 3 or equivalent or be close to qualifying.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a small team and liaise with clients as required.
  • Maintain knowledge of horticultural equipment and machinery and ensure it is looked after and maintained.
  • Understand and apply current health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out physical work which may include heavy lifting and be flexible to daily requirements.
  • Demonstrate a love for plants and gardening; maintain high standards and attention to detail; work well in a team and use initiative.
Qualifications and experience
  • Driving licence is essential.
  • Proven experience supervising a small team.
  • RHS level 2 horticulture or NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or be close to qualifying.
  • Good knowledge of horticultural equipment and machinery.
  • Understanding of current health and safety requirements.
  • PA1&6 spraying licence is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good English.
