Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking a Garden Maintenance Team Leader based near Botley, Southampton. You will lead a team delivering high-quality garden care for domestic and commercial clients across Southern Hampshire, with a focus on plant knowledge, pruning, and grounds maintenance.

You will manage site safety, operate garden machinery, and help develop the team. A full UK driving licence and a can-do attitude are essential, with a salary of £30,160 per year.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Garden Maintenance Team Leader or in a similar role.
• Strong plant knowledge and identification skills.
• Experience in soft landscaping, pruning and plant care.
• Good knowledge of garden machinery.
• Understanding of risk assessments and onsite health and safety.
• Positive, practical and professional 'can-do' attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Hard landscaping skills are an advantage.
• Live within reasonable travel distance of Botley, Southampton.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform professional garden maintenance across sites.
• Identify plants and provide care and maintenance.
• Carry out pruning, shaping and plant care.
• Undertake soft landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Operate and maintain garden machinery and equipment.
• Complete risk assessments and follow safety procedures.
• Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service.
• Support and develop other maintenance team members.
