Garden Machinery Technician/Mechanic

Garden Fitter/Mechanic - Cheam

A Fitter/Mechanic is needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance companies.

Job Duties:

1. Maintain our clients' grounds maintenance equipment.

The hours will be confirmed in the interview; it is full-time hours - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary: £34k to £35k depending on experience.

A driving license is essential.

The roles will be made permanent after around 13 weeks if all goes well, or could also be made permanent from day one.

The role is working at our client's Cheam yard.

Desirable Experience:

1. Working in a Grounds Maintenance setting previously.
2. Experience with machinery such as:
1. Two-stroke machines: Strimmers, Blowers, and Hedge cutters.
2. Pedestrian machinery: Walk-behind lawn mowers, Powered weed brushes, and Ride-on lawn mowers.
3. Ride-on equipment: John Deere OutFront mowers, Compact tractors, and Tractor implements.

Good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics is required. It is not essential that candidates have previous experience on gardening equipment, and we would also consider MOT Technicians and Vehicle Mechanics.
