Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Garden Centre Manager to join the team at Mayfield Garden Centre.

Competitive salary based on experience.

The role involves 42.5 hours per week over 5 days, including regular weekend work, so flexibility is essential.

The Role

As the Garden Centre Manager, you will oversee the entire operation of the centre. You should be an experienced retailer with horticultural knowledge and a passion for quality plants and gardening products, aiming to create a fantastic shopping experience for customers.

You will manage all departments to meet sales and profit targets, motivate your team, and ensure high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily operations, stock levels, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Planning staff schedules to ensure proper coverage.
  • Creating attractive product displays with accurate POS materials.
  • Developing your team to care for plants and advise customers on suitable products.
  • Handling cash and administrative tasks.
  • Supporting warehouse and stock processes.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
