What you'll be doing

We are looking for an experienced YouTube Channel Manager, reporting to the Head of Video, who will lead our gaming channel both creatively and managerially. YouTube is the heart of what we do but we want a strategic thinker who can use their understanding of the gaming industry and its audience to deliver high quality, creative and engaging content for not only WhatCulture Gaming's YouTube channel, but our website, social media and podcast.

You will combine a knowledge of YouTube and social media with experience of the gaming industry, to create content that engages and grows our audience. You will also help navigate data and performance insights to make the best decisions needed to drive revenue growth.

You will be located in our studios in Gateshead and can be full time in office or hybrid with up to 2 days working from home. We are also moving to a new office space in central Newcastle with new studios, modern facilities and a free on-site gym with personal trainer.

  • Knowledge of social platforms and publishing guidelines.
  • Experience with what works in social video content including titles and thumbnail creation.
  • Work with creative teams, and provide clear direction and feedback.
  • Experience presenting videos for YouTube is hugely beneficial but video editing or writing skills will also be taken into account.

What's in it for you

The expected range for this role is £25,000 - £36,000
