Qualifications

  • Connaissance des moteurs de jeux (Unity/Unreal) et de la création d'actifs de jeu.
  • Connaissances théoriques sur les rôles, la progression de l'histoire et la création de mondes.

Responsibilities

Access Creative College Plymouth

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week

Reporting to: Head of Campus

Location: Plymouth

Salary: £23,810 - £25,157 per annum

About The Role

You will lead and inspire the next generation of gaming talent through your planning and delivery of the games curriculum. You will mark and assess learner projects, setting high expectations and motivating them to be the best they can be. You will be a role model, providing our learners with innovative, practical and employment-led training.

You will ensure a positive learning environment by effectively managing classroom behaviour; using various teaching techniques to engage and motivate students from different backgrounds and abilities. You will collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work with experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team.

The role is based at our South West campus in Plymouth. This campus has been established for over 20 years as part of dBs Institute, specialising in music production, and over the past few years has expanded its curriculum to become a creative hub for games art & development, and music performance. What we’re looking for:

  • Up-to-date knowledge and an understanding of game engines (Unity/Unreal Engine), desirable skills would include an understanding of Game Art, character art, animation in 2D, experience using Adobe Creative Suite and having an in-depth understanding of the pipeline surrounding the creation of game assets.
  • Theoretical knowledge across the broad spectrum of games, for example, job roles and skills, world-building, and story progression.
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area and Maths and English qualifications at level 2 or above. A teaching qualification is desirable but if you don’t have one, we will pay for you to get one and provide you with time to study!
