We’re looking for amid-level Game Designer with a background in education! This is a full-time, remote contract role for 4–6 months, with the potential for extension.

We are creating an educational game for kids aged 10–14. It is a 2.5D adventure-puzzle with a strong focus on narrative.

Teaching experience is a must, and teaching biology is a strong preference.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designing an explorable island map, puzzles, and game flow for an educational adventure-puzzle game
  • Creating engaging, educationally focused puzzles and interactions for 10–14 year olds
  • Developing interactive dialogue and narrative structure in collaboration with a writer
  • Documenting design intent and vision clearly for the team
  • Collaborating closely with the producer, creative director, programmer, artist, and educational advisor
  • Using standard game design tools like Standard Game Engines (Godot is a plus), Twine, Miro, Figma—or whatever helps you design great experiences

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience designing exploration-based or puzzle-driven games
  • Teaching experience (essential)—especially in biology (a strong plus)
  • A creative, curious mindset with an eye for making learning fun and meaningful
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a fully remote team
  • Ready to hit the ground running—flexible, self-motivated, and a good communicator
  • Link to your portfolio page if you have one
  • A brief cover letter highlighting your most relevant experience and interest
