West Suffolk College, an Ofsted Outstanding institution and a leader in UK games design education, is seeking an enthusiasticGames Design Lecturerto join our highly ambitious and cutting-edge games design program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching in games design and development
• Provide expert instruction in Unreal Engine Blueprints, guiding students in gameplay mechanics, level design, and interactive systems
• Teach asset creation pipelinesusing Adobe Suiteto support high-quality game art production
• Foster a proactive and reflective learning environment, encouraging students to develop technical and creative problem-solving skills
• Support and mentor students in their progression into higher education or the games industry
• In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine Blueprintsand its applications in game development
• Understanding of asset creation pipelinesusing the Adobe Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Teaching experiencein Games Design or Development, with the ability to engage and inspire students
• A proactive and reflective approachto teaching, professional development, and continuous self-improvement
• Experience in leading and managing education programs
• Familiarity with UAL qualification structures
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Lua, or C#
• Proficiency in 3D modeling using Autodesk Maya or Blender
• Studio or indie development experience, bringing real-world industry insights into the classroom
