Light & Wonder is seeking a Game Mathematician to design mathematical models that drive balanced, high-performing games for global markets. You’ll collaborate with designers and developers to translate theory into engaging gameplay and ensure models meet regulatory requirements across EMEA.

Qualifications

• Experience developing mathematical models, ideally within gaming or iGaming.
• Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis capability.
• A passion for gaming and understanding of player-focused design principles.
• Around 1+ year of experience in slot mathematics or a related field.
• Experience within the casino or gambling industry.
• Creative thinking combined with strong technical design instincts.
• A track record of contributing to successful game mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to early-stage game concepts, helping define mechanics and player experience.
• Develop mathematical models using simulation tools, programming, and spreadsheet analysis.
• Design and analyse key game metrics such as RTP, volatility, and payout structures.
• Collaborate closely with developers and designers to bring game concepts to life.
• Ensure mathematical models meet regulatory requirements across EMEA markets.
• Continuously refine and optimise game performance to deliver engaging player experience.

• A track record of contributing to successful game mechanics

Qualifications

Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
