Job summary

The Manchester College is seeking a motivated Game Art Teacher to join our City Campus Manchester in the Media Department on a permanent, full-time basis. You will plan, lead, and develop the curriculum for Game Art and Development, delivering high-quality, learner-focused education while meeting budget and quality targets.

You’ll instruct students in industry-standard tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite, assess progress, and contribute to curriculum

Qualifications

  • Certificate of education or PGCE.
  • Current and valid industry specialism.
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grade C or grade 4 and above.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Game Art and Development, covering topics such as game design principles.
  • Instructing students in the use of industry-standard game development software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Autodesk Maya, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Provide individualised support and feedback to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Develop and update curriculum materials to align with industry trends and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Conduct assessments adhering to internal and external verification processes.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of progress.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the game development industry.
