Job summary

The Earlham Institute in Norwich invites applications for a role leading community support, user training, and workflow curation for Galaxy within the BioFAIR Methods Commons concierge service. This position is based in the Data Science group and collaborates with EI, the University of Manchester, Seqera, and global Galaxy practitioners to deliver co-developed workflows and training materials.

You will contribute to Workflow Observatory, the FAIR workflow collection, and ESG4Stars activities,

Qualifications

• Experience with Galaxy workflow development and tool integration.
• Experience providing user support or training in computational biology.
• Knowledge of FAIR principles and RO-Crate metadata.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and scientific support to Galaxy users.
• Collaborate to design, publish and version high-quality workflows on WorkflowHub.
• Profile tools and benchmark workflows to reduce energy use.
• Develop user training materials and deliver workshops and clinics.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
