30 hour contracts available

The Galashiels service provides support to individuals within Galashiels and the surrounding towns with activities such as horse riding, golf, bowling, and tennis. This enables our supported people to live full lives and be involved in the local communities around the Borders. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and promote independence and life skills. Our team is actively involved in activities and groups, always aiming for new outcomes, supporting a wide range of daily living needs. Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting vulnerable service users as part of an effective team.
  2. Communicating effectively with individuals to provide personalized care and build appropriate relationships.
  3. Supporting individuals during activities, providing positive feedback and encouragement.
  4. Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on the Arks Information Management system.
  5. No Previous Experience Required
    Ark provides full training, making this role ideal for starting your career in Adult Social Care.
  6. Get a qualification while you work
    Ark funds your SVQ2 in Health & Social Care, supported by our in-house SVQ team.
