Job summary

CKB Recruitment is recruiting a Claims & Service Adviser for its client in Shoeburyness, Essex. The role is fully office-based with a salary of £26,000-£28,000, Depending on experience, with potential for a higher salary for closely relevant insurance experience.

You will handle gadget and travel insurance claims, sales and service enquiries, and first-line complaints while collaborating with colleagues to deliver a positive customer experience. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Previous claims or customer service experience within a regulated insurance business is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with confidence on the telephone and by email.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Handling mobile phone and gadget claims involving loss, theft and accidental damage across travel insurance.
• Managing ticket protection claims and refund requests after cross-training.
• Responding to travel, mobile phone and gadget insurance sales and service enquiries.
• Liaising with underwriters on travel-related product queries.
• Working with repair and fulfilment teams to progress and conclude claims.
• Processing premium and excess payments.
• Managing policy cancellations and retention conversations.
• Recording and handling first-line complaints per procedures.
• Collaborating with finance on payments and reconciliations.
• Supporting colleagues and suggesting process improvements.
