Job summary

Citi UK is seeking a Trader to manage FX option risk and price for vanilla and exotic products, aligning with the Trading team to process trades for a trading book and meet revenue targets.

The role involves risk management, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring governance, compliance, and proper certifications are maintained. A strong analytical background and relevant licenses are required.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in a related role.
• Knowledge of respective products and clients.
• Required licensing and registrations as applicable.
• Advanced analytical and numerical competency.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Effective interpersonal skills to develop relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterparties.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing technicalities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a trading book and generate revenues while managing risk.
• Coordinate with Sales, Research, CMand and other groups across Markets and Securities Services.
• Trade a book and deliver on budgeted revenues and manage book risk.
• Establish and maintain key relationships to deliver trades to the desk.
• Anticipate client demand in each product/market.
• Coordinate with desk analysts and sales to develop the franchise.
• Maintain governance and controls with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit and Finance.
• Uphold Citi Code of Conduct and supervision plans.
• Ensure proper registrations and certifications are maintained.
