Job summary

HSBC is seeking an FX Options Electronic Trading Quant & Product Owner (Associate Director) in London. You will own the roadmap and delivery of electronic trading tooling for FX Options, working with Quant and Tech to prototype solutions and validate them against live markets.

The role requires strong Python and/or C++ skills, a solid mathematical background, and a track record delivering production changes end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Experience in FX electronic trading in a Quant, Strat, or Product Owner role.
• Strong mathematical background with ability to translate problems into quantitative work.
• Deep knowledge of FX Options pricing, volatility surfaces, Greeks and exotic risks.
• Strong coding ability in Python and/or C++ for prototyping and data analysis.
• Experience building electronic pricing / auto-quoting systems and production changes.
• Excellent stakeholder management across Trading, Quant and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for FX Options electronic trading tooling and be accountable for the desk.
• Define and deliver electronic pricing and execution capabilities across volatility surface and streaming RFQ pricing.
• Prototype models and decision logic in Python; collaborate with Quant on development and validation.
• Build backtesting and analytics to assess strategy performance.
• Lead end-to-end delivery including testing, rollout, and post-release support.
• Identify AI/ML-driven workflow improvements to enhance trader experience.
