Job summary

HSBC in London seeks an FX Options Electronic Trading Quant & Product Owner (Associate Director) to own the roadmap and delivery of electronic trading tooling. You will work with Quant and Technology to prototype models and build backtesting for FX options and exotics.

Role sits in Markets on the FX Options Trading Desk, with leadership across implementation, controls and monitoring. Strong coding and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven FX e-trading experience in a quant/strat/product owner role.
• Strong mathematical background with ability to translate problems to code.
• Deep knowledge of FX Options pricing and volatility surfaces.
• Strong Python and/or C++ coding ability to prototype pricing logic.
• Experience owning pricing/auto-quoting systems with operational readiness.
• Track record delivering production changes end‑to‑end with trader feedback.
• Excellent stakeholder management across Trading, Quant and Technology.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for FX Options electronic trading tooling.
• Define pricing and execution capabilities across volatility surface construction.
• Prototype and validate models and decision logic in Python.
• Build backtesting and analytics to assess strategy performance.
• Lead end-to-end delivery including testing, rollout and support.
• Identify AI/ML-driven workflow improvements for trader experience.
