FX eTrading Java Back-End Engineer, Vice President

We’re seeking a talented FX eTrading Java Back-End Engineer, Vice President, to join our FX eTrading Engineering team in Manchester – HYBRID model.

In this role, you will:

• Build low latency connectivity to new markets
• Engage in hands-on technical development on a critical trading application
• Capture requirements, analyze, and design on the eTrading platform
• Coordinate testing and user acceptance
• Liaise with global business, support, and development teams
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance and scalability issues
• Provide third-line support during trading hours
• Interact closely with the business product manager and internal users covering FX trading

To succeed, you should have:

• Strong core Java skills, including threading, sockets, and networks
• Experience with TCP/UDP protocols
• Knowledge of financial messaging protocols, especially FIX
• Solid SDLC understanding and experience with build, testing, deploy, and code analysis tools
• Nice to have: KDB, Middleware such as Tibco RV, Solace
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (spoken and written)
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues, including remote teams, and participate in technical discussions
