The Workplace Experience Team is a high-performing, motivated, and collaborative team responsible for customer-focused initiatives including Future Ways of Working, Customer Experience, and Customer Insight.

The Future Ways of Working team is tasked with embedding and evolving modern working practices across the civil service, building on previous successful programs to promote flexibility and choice.

The team will also develop new principles to support effective operation of Government Hubs and enhance workspace sharing across government agencies.

The team supports various functions across GPA, so the successful candidate may be asked to assist other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

As the Future Ways of Working Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the strategic development of ‘Ways of Working’ and conducting research to inform civil service practices.
  • Managing and developing the Future Ways of Working team.
  • Supporting workplace initiatives to realize benefits of smarter working, using customer insights and data for business change.
  • Leading the cross-government Smarter Working Community of Practice, including hosting events, providing advice, and developing tools to showcase GPA’s expertise.
  • Providing support and advice to senior leaders within GPA.
  • Participating in networks and events, including public speaking opportunities.
  • Reviewing research materials and creating products to position GPA as a leader in workplace experience.
