Job Description

  • Actively work the sales floor, interacting with customers and employees to achieve the store’s sales goals.
  • Be one of the top two salespeople in the store. Lead all staff in delivering world-class customer service to meet financial goals.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, quarterly/monthly financial reviews, and other meetings as necessary.
  • Organize, implement, and validate staff training in sales, merchandising, Daily Task List, Ascend POS, Ascend Analytics, and product knowledge.
  • Validate training through role-playing, Trek University, secret shop reviews, and direct observation.
  • Conduct bi-weekly leadership meetings with Service Lead, Sales Lead, and Inventory Lead to review performance and plan ahead.
  • Participate in store merchandising to ensure a professional and inviting shopping environment, including sorting, straightening, arranging fixtures, and setting up displays.
  • Monitor store supplies and order additional supplies as needed.
  • Export daily files into QuickBooks at least weekly.
  • Participate in all human resources activities, including interviewing, onboarding, scheduling, and discipline.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Retail knowledge: understanding KPIs, P&L statements, budgets, and retail fundamentals.
  • Leadership experience: at least 1 year of leading a team, coaching, and inspiring others.
  • Retail background: minimum 2 years in retail.
  • Operational skills: inventory management, merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and customer service.
  • Love for bikes: passion for cycling and helping others enjoy it.
  • Problem-solving skills: quick thinker and resourceful.
  • Communication skills: clear, respectful communication in various formats.
  • Adaptability: comfortable with change, flexible, and resourceful.
