Job summary

Thales in Glasgow invites applications for a 2-year 2027 Project Planning & Controls Apprenticeship (SCQF Level 8). The role combines on‑the‑job learning with academic study within the Bid & Project Management function. Start date is Sep 6, 2027, with a 37-hour week and a salary of £24,000 per year.

The programme develops skills in planning, scheduling, risk and opportunity management, and governance, with a view to permanent roles in project planning/controls on completion.

Qualifications

• Entry requirements include 2 Higher Grades C or above or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• 5 standards Grade A-C including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of the integrated master schedules for assigned projects
• Contributing to project reports and attend associated reviews
• Assisting in the deployment & reporting of risk & opportunity management
• Helping the project team ensure correct and effective project governance is applied
• Operating Thales UK tools to ensure effective management of the project schedule, budgets, risks and opportunities
• Committing to attend all elements of the apprenticeship including attendance on virtual training modules, 1-2-1 coaching calls, assignments, exams and mandatory Thales UK training activities to lay the foundations for your contribution to future growth of the business

Education

SCQF Level 8 Project Manager Apprenticeship

2 Higher Grades C or above or equivalent Level 3 qualification

5 standards Grade A-C including English and Maths
