Fitness Consultant

The Fitness Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling memberships to potential new members and selling renewals/upgrades to current gym members.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Generate sales through Company-sponsored (walk-ins and TI’s) and employee-sponsored (outreach and promotions).
  2. Maintain accurate records of all Company-sponsored and employee-sponsored activities.
  3. Follow up on all prospects using established Gold’s Gym sales systems.
  4. Conduct telephone inquiries using established sales systems.
  5. Establish and maintain a minimum of 10 lead boxes/bowls in the community monthly.
  6. Implement and sustain a referral program as defined by Gold’s Gym standards.
  7. Stay current on Gold’s Gym pricing and promotion schedules.
  8. Maintain knowledge of club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
  9. Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures related to gym operations.
  10. Develop and improve selling skills continuously.
  11. Prepare for, attend, and participate in sales meetings.
  12. Foster positive relationships with staff and support team members in achieving their goals.
  13. Participate in all scheduled meetings as directed by management.
  14. Complete the FC Training courses successfully.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  1. High school diploma and some college coursework; college degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) preferred.
  2. Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  3. Ability to pass all testing requirements, including gym tours, inquiries, audits, and outreach programs.
  4. Proven ability to meet monthly sales targets.
  5. Understanding of Gold’s Gym membership sales systems.
  6. Knowledge of Daily Sales Stat report and its interpretation.
  7. Basic computer skills.
  8. Current CPR Certification.
