Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Future Integrated Operational Support Solution Lead at their Andover site. The role focuses on shaping next-generation defence platform support across life-cycle, designing innovative models for integration, maintenance and operation to keep assets mission-ready.

You’ll develop and align future operating models, collaborate across disciplines, and drive capability assessments while working within security-clearance constraints.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, systems engineering, logistics, supportability or a related discipline.
• Recognised Integrated Logistics Support or Integrated Product Support qualification.
• Through-Life Support or through-life engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Designing future-state operating models covering structures, governance, processes and commercial frameworks.
• Developing integrated support solutions aligned with defence capabilities and customer strategies.
• Defining integration approaches that connect support models with readiness and services.
• Conducting capability assessments and gap analyses to support solution development.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to shape supportability requirements for new programmes.

The roleAs aFuture Integrated Operational Support Solution Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping how the next generation of defence platforms are supported throughout their operational life. This is a rare opportunity to influence future land defence capabilities before they enter service, designing innovative support, maintenance and operating models that ensure critical military assets remain effective, sustainable and mission ready.Day-to-day, models for new or developing platforms and capabilities, Broad understanding of engineering, logistics, fleet management, supportability and operational delivery.Experience supporting defence acquisition, through-life engineering or the introduction of new capabilities.Ability to develop integrated solutions and provide strategic direction across multiple technical and operational disciplines.Qualifications for the Future Integrated Operational Support Solution LeadDegree or equivalent experience in engineering, systems engineering, logistics, supportability or a related discipline.Recognised Integrated Logistics Support or Integrated Product Support qualification.Through-Life Support or through-life engineering qualification.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Andover with hybrid working patterns.

Essential experience of the Future Integrated Operational Support Solution LeadStrong experience in Through-Life Support, Integrated Product Support or Integrated Logistics Support within a complex engineering or defence environment.Experience designing support, maintenance or operating restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
