Wates is offering a Planning Management Trainee role based in Birmingham. You will support the development and maintenance of construction programmes, learn planning principles, and work alongside experienced planning professionals to understand how projects are programmed and delivered from tender through to completion.

You will gain hands-on experience through site visits, meetings, and structured development, with mentoring and a clear path to chartership in a large, family-owned UK business.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and maintenance of construction programmes using planning software.
• Monitor progress, track milestones and identify risks or delays.
• Develop understanding of planning principles and methodologies in construction.
• Analyse project performance data and contribute to reports for decision-making.
