Job summary

UK Fusion Energy Ltd (UKFE), a subsidiary of UK Atomic Energy Authority, leads the STEP programme to deliver a prototype fusion plant by 2040. The role focuses on commercialisation of IP, engaging with industry and building a UK fusion supply chain with world-scale opportunities.

You will work alongside the IP generation team to identify opportunities, map IP clusters to industry needs, and drive value through licensing and partnerships within a bold national programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a graduate degree in a relevant topic.
• Experience in commercialisation or technology transfer leadership.
• Proven experience advising technologists and engineers on commercialisation opportunities.
• Experience managing an IP portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead on stakeholder engagement across UKFE, STEP programme and other bodies.
• Map and understand fusion industry supply chain landscape and IP portfolios.
• Identify and develop IP commercialisation opportunities and engage potential licensees.
• Lead commercialisation value development and identify industry use cases and potential value.
• Support commercial negotiations and coordinate with internal and external resources.
