Job description

NEJ Stevenson is a privately-owned, Midlands based furniture manufacturer specialising in custom made furniture and architectural joinery. The company has developed a reputation for crafting some of the finest contemporary / Traditional furniture and Internal Joinery within the UK and Abroad.

We currently have a full-time vacancy for 2 furniture/joinery construction designers. This rare opportunity to work for one of the industry’s market leaders will provide a stimulating and demanding environment for personal development.

Working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will need to assess site measurements at the concept stage, produce designs relevant to client expectations in terms of performance and budget, identify variations from the initial brief, and prepare a thorough handover for follow-on departments.

A good standard of written and spoken English is a prerequisite for developing clear communication with both clients and colleagues. The successful individual must be flexible and able to demonstrate an understanding of Furniture and Internal Joinery construction techniques. They should be conversant with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience using a 3D package would also be an advantage.

This full-time position will be offered to the most suitable candidate based on their strengths and experience.

  • Hours of work: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday (Plus overtime when required)
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of 8 statutory days)
  • Based at our offices in Church Lawford, Near Rugby
