Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting Furniture Installers to join a busy team across Chesterfield and surrounding areas, focusing on furniture installation, office moves, relocations and clearance work.

This ad hoc/ongoing role offers £13.00 per hour with opportunities for ongoing work for reliable candidates. CSCS is not required for every assignment.

Qualifications

• Previous furniture installation, removals, fitting, construction, maintenance or other practical hands-on experience.
• Experience using basic hand tools.
• A basic personal tool kit and a willingness to develop this over time.
• Good practical skills and attention to detail.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to different types of work.
• Good reliability and timekeeping.
• The ability to work professionally around customers and clients.
• A good attitude towards manual work and working as part of a team.

Furniture Installer / Installer

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for Furniture Installers / Installers to join a busy team working across commercial sites throughout Chesterfield and the surrounding areas.

This is a varied role involving furniture installation, office moves, relocations and clearance work, so we're looking for practical, reliable candidates who are happy to turn their hand to different @types of work.

The Role

As a Furniture Installer / Installer, your duties will include:

• Installing and assembling office and commercial furniture

• Assisting with office moves and furniture relocations

• Uplifting and removing redundant furniture

• Loading and unloading furniture and equipment

• Assisting with recycling and waste clearance

• Handling and bagging confidential waste

• Asset tagging IT equipment

• Working across offices, hospitals, care homes, restaurants and other commercial environments

• Maintaining a professional and respectful approach when working on operational client sites

About You

We're looking for candidates with:

Own tools: You do not need to have the full tool kit of an experienced furniture installer, but you should have a reasonable selection of basic hand tools, such as a cordless drill, screwdrivers, spanners, tape measure and spirit level.

CSCS: CSCS is not required for every assignment. Where a particular site requires CSCS, this will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Pay & Hours

£13.00 per hour

Work is initially offered on an ad hoc basis, with the opportunity for ongoing work for reliable candidates who demonstrate the right skills and attitude.

Chesterfield-based candidates will report to the S41 area before travelling to client sites as required. Start times and locations will vary depending on the assignment.
