Salary circa A GBP 32 to A GBP 36k subject to experience

Full Time

Leeds, West Yorkshire

Our client is a market leader in the hotel furniture industry, working with clients such as Hilton, De Vere, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza. With a Head Office and 60,000 sq.ft factory located just 10 minutes from Leeds City Centre, they manufacture high specification, bespoke hotel furniture. Job Purpose

To work collaboratively and independently within the design team to deliver accurate and commercially competitive designs. Work with clients, customers, and project managers to interpret briefs and produce accurate manufacturing drawings. Coordinate ideas from the sales team, project managers, and manufacturing department with your own ideas and research.

Essential Skills Required

• 2+ years Solidworks CAD design experience and communication skills, enabling translation of client design briefs into commercially viable product designs.
• Furniture design experience demonstrating the ability to produce accurate, detailed production drawings and bills of materials.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Experience working within tight deadlines while accurately delivering design briefs.
• Managing designs for multiple projects across the entire project cycle.
• Effective communication with all project stakeholders.
• Proactive and creative thinking.
• Ability to follow design processes and guidelines.

Desirable Skills Required

• Furniture experience; understanding of furniture production methods and materials.
• Furniture design qualifications.
• Design for Manufacturing experience.
