Job summary

B&M Retail Limited is seeking a Buying Assistant to support the Buyers at our Speke-based Support Centre. The role is full-time and office-based, Monday to Friday, offering exposure to the full lifecycle from conception to product launch.

You’ll assist with admin, supplier communications, order processing, reports, and analysis while learning from an established team of Buyers and Merchandisers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buying Assistant is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong analytic and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to Buyers in Indoor Furniture.
• Request, check and complete shipping documents.
• Set up new products and liaise with suppliers.
• Send purchase orders to suppliers.
• Request, check and approve carton marks.
• Monitor competitor activity on products, pricing and promotions.
• Raise retro and funding invoices and file accordingly.
• Compile reports and information for the Buyers.
