An exciting opportunity to work with a leading designer importer and distributor of furniture, home decorations, lighting, kitchenware, and bathroom accessories in the Republic of Ireland/Northern Ireland. Based in Glasgow and established for over 30 years, we supply blue-chip household name retailers, furniture and giftware stores, and the country’s leading interior designers.

Overview

To manage and develop existing accounts with the goal of delivering growth and pursuing new opportunities with target accounts.

Key Duties

  1. Achieve sales objectives and growth by presenting catalogues, samples, and creating quotes for products within our portfolio.
  2. Send quotes and product information to customers after understanding their needs and requirements.
  3. Manage all aspects of customer relationships, from existing business to new opportunities.
  4. Analyze customer purchasing patterns to develop strategic sales plans.
  5. Deliver growth and increase market share.
  6. Manage multiple accounts, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
  7. Meet monthly sales quotas.
  8. Engage daily with existing customers and reach out to potential new clients, developing campaigns to maintain customer loyalty.
  9. Implement strategies for customer retention and development.
  10. Update customer account information, service packages, and manage account list.
  11. Prospect for new customers.

Knowledge of interior design, furniture, or homewares is desirable. You should be passionate, driven, professional, and commercially astute. Strong networking, negotiation, and influencing skills are essential. Be proactive, flexible, and able to collaborate with teams such as Design, IT, and Warehouse. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with SAP are required. Experience in developing new business and strong organizational skills are also important.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary: £40k on target earnings plus bonuses
  • Benefits: Company car (BMW 5 Series Hybrid), laptop, tablet, mobile, employee discount

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, plus 3-4 weekends annually at exhibitions

Additional Pay:

  • Commission

Experience:

  • Account Management: 1 year (preferred)
  • Sales: 2 years (preferred)

Licenses:

  • Driving License
