Job description

Location:

North West London. This is a mobile role covering four of our funeral homes, in Southall, Heston, Isleworth and Slough, driving between branches wherever you’re needed most. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Job Type:

Full-time, permanent

Salary:

£29,857.54 per annum

Be there for families wherever they need you

As our mobile Funeral Service Specialist, you’ll be the steady pair of hands our North West London funeral homes can count on. When a colleague is on holiday or off sick, or a branch is at its busiest, you’ll step in so families get the same warm, expert care whichever of our doors they walk through.

The role at a glance:

Working across 4 branches Southall, Heston, Isleworth and Slough

You’ll work alongside trusted local names that have served their communities for generations, including A. Spicer & Sons, H.G. Brown & Sanders and Hounslow Funeral Service.

When someone dies, you’ll often be the first person their family speaks to. How you listen, explain and guide them can shape how they remember one of the hardest days of their lives. Your week will change with where you’re needed, and you’ll get to know teams and communities right across North West London.

What you’ll do
  • Be the first point of contact for families, in person, by phone or by email, at whichever branch you’re supporting
  • Arrange funerals that meet family wishes, cultural practices and legal requirements, with clarity, compassion and precision.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, care homes and local community groups — including ministers, celebrants and florists.
  • Introduce our wider services, including funeral plans, probate, wills and memorials
  • Keep branches running smoothly, from viewings and chapel visits to diaries, payments and funeral records
  • Slot in quickly with local teams and Funeral Directors, keeping our standards consistent across every branch
What you’ll bring
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle: this is essential, as you’ll be driving between branches every week
  • Experience working directly with the public in a customer-facing or advisory role, such as sales, hospitality, financial services or healthcare
  • Warmth, empathy and the resilience to stay calm in emotionally sensitive situations
  • Accuracy and confidence with paperwork, contracts and documentation
  • Adaptability: you’re happy working in different branches, with different teams, often at short notice, and you can be flexible on your hours, including some weekends, bank holidays and on-call

Experience in funeral services or bereavement care, a sales or product-advisory role, or Funeral Plan Consultant (FPC) training would be a bonus, but it isn’t essential. We’ll give you full training. You’ll find full details in the job description.
