Funeral Service Crew

£12.40 per hour plus benefits

Part-time, 18.75 hours per week, varied shifts from Monday to Friday, including on-call rota. Location: Kilsyth, G65 9DG. One permanent vacancy and one 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) available. We can discuss your preference during your interview.

What you’ll do
  • Collect the deceased from various locations and scenarios in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
  • Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
  • Prepare the deceased in our care for viewings and the funeral.

  • The ability to perform the physical aspects of the role (manual lifting).
