Funeral Service Crew - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

£12.40 per hour plus benefits. Part-time, 18.75 hours per week, 5 days, 3-4 hours per day, with a variety of shifts Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. Includes on-call rota. Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG2 7LY.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect the deceased from various locations professionally and empathetically
  • Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
  • Prepare coffins and engrave name plates
  • Prepare the deceased for viewings and funerals

Candidate profile:

  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Sensitive approach to customer service with good attention to detail
  • Calm and compassionate in emotional situations
  • Ability to perform manual lifting
