Avantia Law is a pioneering law firm known for its innovative approach to asset management legal services. Our service provides asset managers with an end-to-end managed solution for LP transfers, driven by senior funds lawyers and backed by cutting-edge technology.

We are looking for a Funds Lawyer to manage the day-to-day LP transfer workflows for our clients. This role is ideal for a legal professional with experience in funds law who is looking to specialise in managing LP transfer work and supervising juniors, as well as building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage with clients directly, providing full deal reviews and expert legal advice, ensuring transfer processes align with client playbooks.
2. Prepare LP transfer documents, including transfer agreements and subscription documents.
3. Conduct negotiations based on client playbooks and escalate issues as needed.
4. Escalate and resolve issues or flags during the transfer process.
5. Support with supervision, training, and mentoring junior team members (e.g., Paralegals or junior lawyers), in collaboration with MD - LP Transfers.
6. Collaborate with our technology team to innovate and utilise AI-driven workflow tools in legal work.
7. Assist our Growth team with new client pitches when required.
8. 2+ PQE with experience in closed-ended funds and LP transfers.
9. Qualified in England & Wales or the US.
10. Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
12. Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
