Job summary

IQEQ in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled accounting professional to manage day-to-day client relationships and oversee financial statement reviews for private equity or real estate funds. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to UK GAAP/IFRS, and proactive issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in professional services, ACCA/ACA/CIMA or IATI, strong Excel abilities, and a track record of mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a professional office environment, ideally within financial services.
• Experience reviewing working papers and financial statements (with disclosures) or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and resolving issues directly with clients.
• Ability to mentor junior team members while applying intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships for designated Private Equity clients, including deliverables, timelines, and CFO communication.
• Review quarterly/annual financial statements per UK GAAP or IFRS with Manager and Technical & Training teams.
• Validate investor drawdown and distribution calculations; communicate cash activities to investors.
• Mentor and support junior team members while developing expertise in client-specific accounting frameworks (per LPA).
• Drive process improvements, balance stakeholder needs, and optimize workflows to reduce risk.
