Compensation: £30,559 - £33,366 / year

Description

This role is part of the Torre Abbey New Beginnings Chapter One project, which has secured funding for its development phase. The successful candidate will support the project in raising up to £750,000 in match funding for the delivery phase starting in October 2026.

Torre Abbey, dating from 1196, is Torbay's most historic building complex and a scheduled monument within 17.8 acres of gardens and parkland. It is an accredited museum owned by Torbay Council, housing a regionally important collection, and has been a centre of religious, artistic, and social activity for over 800 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a fundraising strategy for the delivery phase, including identifying grant opportunities, applying for funding, and exploring other fundraising avenues such as corporate sponsorship and individual donations. You will be an integral part of the project team.
  • Manage multiple funding pipelines with attention to detail, and support reporting to grant funders.

This position is fixed-term for 12 months, with potential extension if the project funding is successful.

  • Experience in reporting and evaluating funded projects.
  • Experience in diverse fundraising activities including individual donations, sponsorship, and events.
  • Experience representing an organization publicly.
  • Track record of delivering projects and achieving fundraising targets.
