Turning Tides is a charity supporting people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county—from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and surrounding areas. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs, and outreach teams, we provide tailored support to local single adults to help them achieve a more stable future. We focus on addressing the root causes of homelessness, with specialist teams supporting mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance, and more.
The Fundraising team is small but impactful. We raise funds for Turning Tides by inspiring compassion for those facing homelessness and engaging supporters through storytelling. Our activities include supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups and corporate clients, and providing one-on-one stewardship to donors. We aim to spread awareness of our mission and inspire community action. Currently, the team is reviewing how to enhance supporter engagement and make their journey with us more meaningful.
