Job description

Big Fish Little Fish are proud to be partnering with an exceptional charity to recruit an outstanding fundraiser to join their team. Our client supports vulnerable young women, adults, and families and is making a significant impact locally within South Yorkshire. With additional help and a dedicated team member focused on fundraising, their efforts could be even more effective.

This role is entirely new for our charity partner. Until now, they have relied on their staff, donations, and other channels, but the CEO has decided to appoint a fundraiser to increase their local profile.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Attend networking events and engage with key decision-makers.
  2. Develop innovative and engaging fundraising ideas that generate conversation and interest.
  3. Meet with local businesses to share the charity's story and journey, fostering connections through relatable narratives.
  4. Motivate and inspire team members to embrace new fundraising initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with local PR and marketing agencies to raise the charity's profile and share news about its work.
  6. Negotiate PR opportunities and become the voice of the charity.
  7. Build relationships with the charity's beneficiaries to understand their needs and stories.

To succeed, the candidate must possess excellent administrative and organizational skills, be adept at managing meetings, and be capable of producing relevant reports.

This is a fantastic opportunity to shape a role that can truly make a difference in the community.

The role is hybrid, allowing flexibility to work remotely and visit the three locations regularly.

Please apply with your CV, highlighting what you can bring to the role and your transferable skills.
