Job description

Employer LONDON SINFONIETTA Location London NW1 1TT (Central), London (Greater) and home working Salary c. £26,000 - £28,000 per annum pro rata, according to experience Closing date 7 May 2025

The London Sinfonietta is one of the world's leading contemporary music ensembles. We seek to reach as manypeople as possible with the inspiring sound of new music. We produce world-class new music projects & performances that engage with today’s society, involving and inspiring the lives of individuals, audiences, communities and artists.

We are looking for a Fundraising & Events Officer, a broad and varied role which offers the ability to shape and develop your fundraising skills within a truly supportive and creative environment. Its primary responsibility is to oversee the London Sinfonietta's Individual Giving schemes, act as the primary point of contact for our regular donors and organise hospitality and other donor engagement and cultivation events across the concert season. It also supports the organisation more broadly with income generation initiatives and with general advocacy communications for the organisation.

You will have had experience working in a fundraising, marketing or membership role, though the exact nature of your experience is less important than being able to demonstrate strong organisational and customer service skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships and instigate new ones.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of how fundraising works in the arts and be comfortable with championing music as a cause to support (although an in-depth knowledge of classical contemporary music is not a pre-requisite for this role). In all of this, you will be supported by the CEO & AD, Head of Development and our external Fundraising Consultant who bring their long experience and knowledge of the contemporary music space in which the London Sinfonietta works.

The role ispart time(0.6 / 3 days a week) and is offered on a flexible, hybrid basis. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will attend the office at least 1 day a week but this can be flexible. The role is also required to be present at events outside normal working hours on a weekday or occasionally a weekend.
