Job description

We are seeking a Fundraising Compliance Auditor to join the RSPCA on a full-time, 9-month Fixed Term Contract.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The role involves a hybrid work model with some travel to conduct audits across sites, including occasional visits to our South East Regional Hub in Horsham, West Sussex.

Role overview: You will work closely with the Fundraising Compliance Manager to develop and implement an audit process involving internal teams and third-party agencies. Your responsibilities include leading internal audits, conducting audits at third-party sites, monitoring regulatory changes, and producing clear reports. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing guidance to ensure compliance and support fundraising efforts are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience in Performance, Compliance, and Regulatory auditing
  • Knowledge of incident management and escalation procedures
  • Understanding of UK data protection laws, governance, and risk management, preferably in a charity setting
  • Proven ability to deliver audit outcomes
  • Experience in a compliance environment demonstrating regulatory adherence
  • Innovative thinking with high attention to detail, research, and analytical skills
  • Track record of continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex information for diverse audiences
  • Confidence in managing quality conversations and holding third parties accountable
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
