The Welsh Ambulance Service Charity is the official NHS charity for the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST). As a registered charity, the Welsh Ambulance Service Charity supports WAST staff, volunteers and patients right across Wales, providing funding for projects that go beyond what's possible through statutory government funding.
Following a strategic review in 2023, the Corporate Trustee has supported the development of the Charity as a "strategic enabler", investing in the Charity's leadership and structure so that it can better support staff and patients. As part of this investment, a new Head of Charity joined the Trust in October 2024.
This is an exciting time for the Charity, as it invests in resourcing to grow and to fulfil its potential. Key objectives for the Charity are to increase its fundraising income, and to better demonstrate the impact of its charitable spending.
This position is advertised as full-time - however, a part-time contract could be considered for the right candidate
This role can be based at any of WAST's regional offices (St Asaph, Swansea or Cwmbran) with opportunities for home working. Some travel across Wales would be required to meet the needs of the role.
