Job Description:

Brook Street is delighted to be representing an established charity that specialises in fundraising and raising awareness for those affected by cancer in the UK.

Working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will support the development of new and innovative ways to launch events and generate PR opportunities.

We're looking for someone upbeat with a genuine interest in charity work and fundraising, coupled with strong administrative skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the PR & Communications director to respond to press enquiries
  • Managing media coverage through internal and external sources
  • Drafting press releases with the PR team and updating the charity website
  • Liaising with social media contacts and partner charities
  • Updating the media page on the charity website, including fundraising and awareness sections
  • Creating invites and packing merchandise for events
  • Controlling email signatures and phone content according to charity brand guidelines

All paid staff are expected to participate in fundraising events during weekends. Time in lieu is provided, making this role suitable for someone passionate about raising awareness and funds for charity.
