This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, committed fundraising team within a charity working to prevent homelessness and support people at risk. Working closely with the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, you will help deliver an ambitious fundraising and communications strategy, increasing voluntary income, raising the charity’s profile and developing lasting relationships with supporters, businesses and local communities. It is a varied role combining community fundraising, supporter engagement, events, digital fundraising and communications.
You will be a confident relationship-builder who enjoys getting out into the community, meeting people and turning conversations into meaningful support. You will ideally have at least two years’ experience within charity fundraising, with experience across one or more areas such as community fundraising, corporate partnerships, major donors, digital fundraising or social media. You will be comfortable making the ask for support, developing fundraising ideas and creating engaging communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively as part of a small team. You will need to be able to travel across the local area, and some occasional evening and weekend working will be required. A DBS check is also required.
You will be joining a values-led charity working to prevent homelessness and respond to increasing demand from people who need support. This is an exciting time to join, with a new fundraising strategy focused on growing voluntary income year on year and reaching more people at risk of homelessness. You will have the opportunity to bring ideas, develop new relationships and play a visible part in growing the charity’s community presence.
